Position for Junior Graphic Artist
Code: MA-01

As a junior artist, you will play a key role in development of electronic games and interactive educational software. You will be required to:

• Develop digital artwork for backgrounds, user interface, animations, etc., working in tandem with a visualizer, animators and programmers.
• Develop new and exciting content for our website and update it.

Required qualifications:

• Fine Arts / Commercial Arts background or relevant qualification.
• This is for entry level applicants only.

Desired skill set:

• Excellent design, visualization and conceptual skills with focus on artwork for children. Knowledge and understanding of contemporary design is a must.
• Understanding of digital design software such as Flash, Photoshop, Corel, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc. is required. Knowledge of 3D software packages such Maya, 3DSMax is a plus.
• Artists with sound sketching capabilities and a flair for comic/cartoon creation will be given a preference.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience/interest in playing video games is a plus but not a requisite.

Position for Jr. Actionscripter at Maharaja Games
Code: MP-01

You will play a key role in development of interactive educational software as the Jr. Flash Developer. You will be working under the supervision of Sr. Developers and develop code for games in Flash. You will be required to:

• Develop Flash games that are graphics intensive.
• Create Flash templates for re-usability.
• Edit sound, select and integrate appropriate sound effects in the games.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of Diploma in Computer Graphics.
• Minimum of three years experience in the relevant industry.

Desired Skill set:

• Programming skills in ActionScript 2.0 and Macromedia Flash 8.
• Experience in software such as Audition, Sound Forge, SWF Studio, Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Corel Draw, etc.
• Knowledge of sound editing software and its subsequent use in Flash is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Should be able to work in conjunction with a team of other developers as well as people from other disciplines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Programming knowledge in other languages such as C, C++, Java, etc. is a plus.
• Experience/interest in playing video games is a definite plus but not a requisite.
